Job summary

Ser- in Preston is seeking a Project Coordinator to support delivery of commercial HVAC and mechanical projects. You will work alongside a Contracts Manager, coordinating activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

The role suits someone with a technical building services background, looking to move from site-based work into office coordination, with training provided to develop into project delivery roles.

Qualifications

• Experience or knowledge of HVAC/building services preferred.
• Strong organisational and communication skills are essential.
• Willingness to learn and develop in project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate commercial HVAC and mechanical projects from start to finish.
• Prepare project documentation, including RAMS and O&M manuals.
• Support Health & Safety and CDM compliance.
• Schedule engineers, subcontractors and materials.
• Update CAFM and project records; maintain documentation.
• Assist with procurement, quotations, cost tracking and invoicing.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and engineers throughout each project.

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (DOE), Mon – Fri / 7:30am-4:00pm (Flexi), Health holiday entitlement & perks.

Purpose of the role

We're looking for a Project Coordinator to support the successful delivery of commercial HVAC and mechanical projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong technical understanding who is looking to develop their career within project coordination.

This role would suit:

• An experienced HVAC, Mechanical or Building Services Engineer looking to move from a site-based role into the office.
• A recent graduate or technically qualified individual with strong industry knowledge who is eager to begin a career in project management and coordination.

The Role

Working alongside an experienced Contracts Manager, you'll provide operational and administrative support throughout the project lifecycle, helping to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate commercial HVAC and mechanical projects from start to completion.
• Prepare project documentation, including RAMS and O&M manuals.
• Support Health & Safety and CDM compliance.
• Schedule engineers, subcontractors and materials.
• Update CAFM/job management systems and maintain project records.
• Assist with procurement, quotations, cost tracking and invoicing.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and engineers throughout each project.

What We're Looking For

• Technical knowledge of Building Services, HVAC or Mechanical systems.
• Previous experience within Hard FM, Construction or Building Services is desirable.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Competent with Microsoft Office and digital job management systems.
• A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
