Project Coordinator
Location: UK (Remote)
Length: 6 Months
Rate: From: £24.52 per hour (Inside IR35)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Responsibilities:
- Support and engage with vendor quality stakeholders.
- Oversee and support quality at the vendor level in a cross-vendor engagement.
- Monitor cross-vendor communications, ensure compliance with guidelines, and support as applicable.
- Support recruiting, testing, onboarding, and training of LQA specialists.
- Support quality operations and processes, such as translation feedback: manage requests, relay feedback to vendors, and communicate responses back to stakeholders.
- Support maintenance of linguistic assets: manage terminology updates for locales in a language-agnostic manner, from term scoping to task hand-offs and hand-backs; support maintenance of Style Guides.
- LQA tasks: manage hand-offs and hand-backs, oversee implementation of LQA feedback, arbitration flows, and support root cause analyses, executing timely on different LQA schedules.
- Oversee and triage a queue for vendor linguists’ questions and needs.
- Report on quality results internally and externally; ensure internal trackers are up-to-date.
- Share quality data with stakeholders and create quality reports upon request.
Day-to-Day Activities:
- Ensure partners abide by rules of engagement.
- Support recruitment, testing, and onboarding of new linguists.
- Support operational and quality processes without automation.
- Maintain linguist guidelines, initiate project updates, and inform teams upon completion.
- Assess translation quality and manage hand-offs to quality vendors.
- Assist in creating reports, error logs, and sharing folders with vendors.
- Serve as the first point of contact for linguists’ queries.
Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in localization project or quality management, preferably on the vendor side.
- BA/BS in translation, linguistics, or equivalent.
- Experience with localization platforms, file formats, CAT tools, and translation management systems like SDL Trados Studio, Idiom WorldServer, or similar.
- Effective communication skills with culturally diverse audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, positive, and adaptable attitude.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
- Knowledge of localization quality management best practices.
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Experience with cross-vendor communication in localization environments.
- Understanding of the localization industry and quality management.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and Virtual Reality content.
- Knowledge of languages other than English.
