Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Project Controller to support project controls within our local authority frameworks and major projects in the UK. You will link management, commercial, financial and contract teams to enable cohesive operation and timely reporting against a strict timetable.

The role involves coordinating tasks, maintaining dashboards, and assisting with pipeline management, with training provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Understanding of Project Control and Project Management principles for programmes.
• Understanding of the importance of timely reporting and the energy to deliver to deadlines.
• The ability to build strong relationships and support colleagues, displaying enthusiasm and a drive to grow, learn and develop within our organisation.

Responsibilities

• Tracking project costs and producing finance reports.
• Ensuring accurate and timely invoicing is carried out.
• Maintaining databases, spreadsheets and dashboards as directed by your Project or Contract Manager, for the purposes of project control.
• Prompting Project Managers / Project Directors for timely inputs to the finance reports and the project management reports.
• Ensuring compliance on aspects of financial and commercial processes, including pipeline management and Stage Gates, as per AtkinsRéalis processes (full training to be provided).
• Working with junior members of the team, sometimes in a supervisory capacity.
• Preparing document templates to a professional standard.
• Attend monthly reviews and other meetings as required.
