Job title: Project Controls Officer

Location: Isle of Grain – Rochester – Onsite

Duration: 12 months

Our client, an energy infrastructure company, is seeking a Project Controls Officer for a 12-month contract within the Oil & Gas, Energy, and Construction industries, based in Rochester, inside IR35.

Role:

As a Project Controls Officer, you will work with the wider Project Controls team to ensure departmental deliverables are prepared on time and communicated clearly, such as the Project Management Plan.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain SharePoint and Power BI dashboards, manage change control and risk management.
• Develop and deliver core functions within the Engineering & Construction department.
• Involved in governance reporting, including compiling datasets, performance indicators, and metrics.
• Develop planning and schedules within a multi-project environment, analyzing and reporting key metrics from integrated programmes (Primavera and MS Project).

Role requirements:

The candidate will support the Project Controls lead with administration and team organization. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships are essential.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in a STEM subject is desirable.
• Experience in Project Controls within construction or utilities sectors.
• Industry experience in UK Gas, LNG, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or related fields.
• Understanding of main Project Controls functions such as cost, change, risk, and planning.
