Job title: Project Controls Officer

Location: Isle of Grain – Rochester – Onsite

Duration: 12 months

Our client, an energy infrastructure company, is seeking a Project Controls Officer. This role is within the Oil & Gas, Energy, and Construction industry based in Rochester for a 12-month contract inside IR35.

Role:

As a Project Controls Officer, you will work with the wider Project Controls team to ensure departmental deliverables are prepared on time and communicated clearly, such as the Project Management Plan.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for preparing and maintaining SharePoint and Power BI dashboards, change control, and risk management. Additionally, you will develop and deliver core functions within the Engineering & Construction department. Your duties include governance reporting, compiling key datasets, performance indicators, and metrics. You will also develop project schedules within a multi-project environment, analyzing and reporting key metrics from integrated programs using Primavera and MS Project.

Role requirements:

The Project Controls Officer will support the Project Controls lead with administration and team organization. The role requires excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse group of individuals.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in a STEM subject is desirable
• Experience in Project Controls functions within construction or utilities sectors
• Industry experience in UK Gas, LNG projects, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, LNG Production, Storage, Vaporization, Shipping, Cryogenic Pipelines, or Gas Compression, especially at top-tier COMAH sites
• Good understanding of main Project Controls functions such as cost, change, risk, and planning
