Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Controls Manager to join our growing team based in our Edinburgh office.

The Project Controls Manager will be part of our Scotland Project Controls team, working with a diverse range of clients to deliver best practice controls, planning, analytics, reporting, risk, change, resource, and performance management solutions across multiple sectors.

Key Responsibilities

1. Deliver Project Controls across major infrastructure construction projects in Scotland.
2. Lead the programme controls function, ensuring accuracy and consistency in plans, costs, safety, environmental, and performance reporting. Deploy control team resources effectively.

Other Responsibilities Include

• Review new project proposals and monitor them to develop realistic, resourceable delivery plans.
• Identify resource requirements and liaise with planning teams to resolve issues.
• Provide efficient daily support to Programme and Project Managers regarding plans, costs, safety, environment, and performance.
• Ensure data input by project teams meets required standards.
• Manage the production of the Investment Plan and comply with the Investment Competence Framework.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning, scheduling, control, and analysis in both field and office environments.
• Experience in the construction infrastructure sector, including defence, rail, aviation, highways, nuclear, power, energy, and water projects.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in PC operating systems and basic software applications.
• Experience with discipline-specific software such as Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Office; intermediate knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup processes.
• Knowledge of engineering and construction management principles.
