Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Project Director with strong scheduling know-how and a focus on strategic program controls. You will oversee high-level planning, develop baseline schedules, and drive efficiency across complex programmes. The role supports programme leads and integrates scheduling with risk and analytics in the IPC team.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team, champion best practices, and mentor staff while engaging stakeholders to deliver value. Hybrid work options available.

Qualifications

• Experience in project controls, scheduling, and leadership of teams.
• Track record delivering complex programmes with robust planning.
• Experience with scheduling tools and optimization techniques.
• Degree educated with broad industry experience desirable.
• Client-focused with strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote and ensure overall team integration across planning activities.
• Lead workshops to develop meaningful project plans and buy-in.
• Perform impact analysis and monitor schedule variance.
• Apply planning/scheduling methods, techniques, and tools.
• Provide leadership in project controls and facilitate risk-informed decisions.
• Manage resourcing, team development, and interface with project leaders.
