Rees is seeking a Midlands Project Co-Ordinator to support planning, coordination and delivery of programmes for care experienced people. The role blends project coordination with hands-on delivery, including workshops and engagement activities across the Midlands and occasional travel.

The ideal candidate will have solid project coordination experience, strong communication skills, and be able to manage budgets and reporting with partners and funders.

Midlands Project Co-Ordinator

Base: This role is a hybrid based between home and our office in Droitwich, with regular travel required to locations across the Midlands, to support the delivery of workshops, events and engagement activity.

Due to the frequency of travel required, applicants should be based within reasonable travelling distance of the Midlands delivery areas, ideally within the West Midlands, and must have access to a vehicle.

Overview

As one of our Project Co-Ordinators, you will support the planning, coordination and delivery of programmes and initiatives for care experienced people.

Working closely with colleagues, delivery partners and stakeholders, you will help ensure programme activity runs smoothly and reaches those who may benefit most. The role combines project coordination with hands on delivery, including supporting workshops, events and engagement activity.

1. Project Management
  • Co-ordinate the day-to-day delivery of the programme and initiatives
  • Plan workshops, events and activities
  • Attend and support with delivery sessions alongside partners
  • Maintain project plans, monitor progress and adjust activity where needed
  • Co-ordinate delivery partners to ensure services meet the needs of care experienced people
2. Communication and Stakeholder Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with delivery partners, commissioners and stakeholders
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders
  • Address issues promptly and effectively
  • Organise and ensure clear communication and follow-up
  • Prepare and share updates and reports
3. Performance Monitoring and Reporting
  • Monitor delivery against agreed KPIs
  • Maintain accurate project documentation including progress reports and risk logs
  • Track budgets and flag any issues with Project Delivery Manager.
  • Collect and analyse feedback and outcome data
  • With support from Projects Delivery Manager, complete reporting to commissioners and funders
  • Identify opportunities to improve programme delivery.
4. Budget Monitoring and Reporting
  • Alongside Project Delivery Manager, liaise with the finance team regarding project budgets
  • Identify and elevate any financial risks or concerns
5. Quality and Compliance
  • In partnership with Project Delivery Manager, support quality assurance processes to maintain high standards
6. Additional Duties
  • Participate in meetings, training and events as required.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the project
  • Work in line with the charities ‘Vision and Values’.
  • Respond flexibly to changing demands.
  • Act as a good ambassador for the organisation
  • Undertake continuing professional
  • Carry out other duties as required
Qualifications and Skills
Essential:
  • Proven experience in project coordination, ideally but not necessarily within the charity, healthcare or not for profit sectors.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise tasks effectively, ensuring accuracy and quality in all work.
  • Experience analysing data and preparing comprehensive reports.
  • Budget monitoring skills.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project tools
Desirable:
  • Local knowledge of West Midlands communities
  • Understanding of the challenges faced by individuals who have been in the care system.
  • Professional certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
