Project & Commissioning Security Engineer

The Role
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Project / Commission Engineer to join an established and growing technical team in the North West.
This is a project-focused role working on the commissioning, configuration and handover of enterprise-level security systems and Video Management Systems (VMS). You will work on complex, high-value projects for commercial and enterprise customers, ensuring systems are delivered to a high technical standard.
The role would suit an experienced security engineer who is confident working independently, technically capable and looking to develop their career within a project and commissioning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, commission and hand over enterprise-level security systems and VMS platforms.
- Work across CCTV, access control, intruder alarm and integrated security systems.
- Carry out system testing, configuration, fault-finding and technical problem-solving.
- Work from project drawings, specifications, schematics and technical documentation.
- Liaise with project managers, customers and other engineering teams to ensure projects are delivered successfully.
Experience & Skills
- Ideally 3+ years' experience within the electronic security industry, with strong installation and commissioning experience.
- Proven experience with CCTV, VMS, access control and/or intruder alarm systems.
- Experience working with enterprise-level security systems and VMS platforms is highly advantageous.
- Good understanding of IP networking, including TCP/IP, addressing, switches and basic network troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication, organisational and customer-facing skills, with the ability to work independently and manage project deadlines.
Working Pattern & Travel
- Standard working week of 40 hours, with working times generally between approximately 06:30 and 18:30 depending on project requirements.
- Regular travel to customer and project sites across the North West.
- Occasional travel further afield may be required depending on project location.
- Overnight stays may occasionally be required to support project delivery and commissioning programmes.
- Flexibility is required to meet project deadlines and customer requirements.
Package & Benefits
- £45,000 - £50,000 basic salary, depending on experience.
