Job summary

Our client, a leading security integrator serving London and the South East, is hiring a Commissioning Engineer to lead the commissioning of enterprise security systems in mission-critical environments. The role focuses on CCTV, access control and intruder alarm platforms.

You will test, integrate and handover systems, work with networked infrastructures, and benefit from ongoing training and a clear career path, with a salary between £40k and £50k plus overtime and travel benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience commissioning, installing or supporting integrated security systems.
• Strong understanding of IP-based CCTV and access control systems.
• Solid networking knowledge including TCP/IP, switching and routing.
• Ability to integrate security systems onto customer networks securely.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning on enterprise-level security systems across mission-critical environments
• Work with cutting-edge CCTV, access control and intruder alarm integration platforms
• Test and optimise security systems to ensure they meet technical specifications and customer requirements
• Integrate security platforms with customer networks, managing compatibility and performance across complex IT infrastructure
• Conduct technical fault-finding and system diagnostics to resolve issues before project completion
• Deliver client-facing commissioning support, including system handover, training and technical guidance
• Support project delivery teams through final commissioning stages, ensuring projects close on schedule
• Document commissioning activities and maintain detailed technical records for audit and compliance purposes

• Excellent customer-facing communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Desirable: experience with LenelS2, Genetec, Gallagher, C Cure, Milestone, Avigilon or Axis systems (training provided for engineers with strong technical foundations)
