Job description

Project Accountant Manager – Remote
London
Permanent, full-time

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Preparation for weekly meeting agenda.
  2. Creating / updating department manuals in relation to Project Accounting.
  3. Contract review for the Sales / Corporate / Accounting departments.
  4. Responsible for delegating tasks such as SAP S4Hana, creating sales quotations and sales orders upon request from project managers to the wider team.
  5. Ensuring monthly deadlines are met by communicating regularly with the project managers, ensuring the required documents are processed within the appropriate month.
  6. Ensuring that the cost of sales is released from Balance Sheet to Statement of Profit & Loss by the deadline.
  7. Working closely with the managers and Corporate Department, ensuring all the sales and cost of sales data are included in the appropriate month.
  8. Inspecting all data in accordance with the requirement of IFRS15, in both figures and documents.
  9. Responsible for creating reports relating to IFRS15.
  10. Responsible for answering complex enquiries e.g., auditing queries.
  11. Checking the expense claims submitted by the departments and ensuring all the information is included and correct before manager’s approval.
  12. Attending and participating in meetings where necessary e.g. audit meetings.
  13. Participating and contributing as required in company-led projects.
  14. Responding to ad-hoc tasks as requested by the Corporate Manager/ Managers.
  15. Responsible for maintaining and storing electronic accounting documents in dedicated location.
Qualifications/Skills/Personal Qualities, and Experience:
  1. ACCA, CIMA, or ACA qualified or part qualified with over 5 years of experience in an accounting management position.
  2. Able to provide advice on project accounting matters.
  3. Advanced mathematical skills.
  4. Excellent administrative skills, the ability to organise a team effectively.
  5. Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail are mandatory.
  6. Ability to detect inconsistencies and errors.
  7. Must possess excellent prioritisation skills and ability to work in accordance with deadlines.
  8. Must be confident in managing and delegating to a team.
