Job Description:

Finance Manager wanted for clients in or around the South London area (within a 45-minute radius preferred)

About the Role:

The role involves working with clients across various industries including professional services, manufacturing, retail/wholesale, construction, technology, or media. We seek an experienced, commercially-minded Finance Manager to handle daily accounting, streamline processes, and support business growth on a part-time basis.

About You:

You should be a qualified and experienced Finance Manager with SME experience. Ideally, you are already self-employed, with at least 2 days availability per week.

Your expertise should include:

  • Customer invoicing and sales ledger management
  • Credit control and debtor reporting
  • Supplier invoices and purchase ledger management
  • Drafting payment runs for approval
  • Bank postings and reconciliations
  • Expense and credit card management and reconciliation
  • VAT returns
  • Payroll (possibly) and pension administration
  • Month-end journals including depreciation, accruals, and prepayments

Note: As this role is two days a week (self-employed), it can complement other client work.

Rate of pay: £22.50 per hour
