Job summary

Windsor Forest Colleges Group is seeking a Progress Coach specialising in Greenkeeping & Sportsturf to join our Apprenticeships team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a remote role, with some campus visits as required.

The role focuses on managing a caseload of apprentices, conducting remote visits, assessments and progress reviews to ensure successful completion of Apprenticeship Programmes and EPA Gateway. Level 2 English & Maths is required; Level 3 qualification is desirable.

Qualifications

• Level 2 English and Maths (or equivalent) is required.
• 5+ years of industry experience in Greenkeeping & Sportsturf.
• Level 3 qualification is desirable.
• Proven experience supporting apprentices and employers, working with awarding bodies and EPAOs, using e-portfolio systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a caseload of apprentices and provide guidance to enhance their experience.
• Conduct visits (remote), assessments and progress reviews toward EPA gateway.
• Ensure compliance with policies on risk, health, safety, safeguarding and data protection.

Job description

Windsor Forest Colleges Group is looking for a Progress Coach specialising in Greenkeeping & Sportsturf to join our Apprenticeships team on a full time, permanent basis. This is a remote role, but the successful applicant may be required to visit one of our campuses.

The salary ranges from £39,127 (K30) up to £42,083 (K33) per annum on the support staff pay scale, depending on experience and qualifications.

Progress Coach – Greenkeeping

The primary responsibility of the Progress Coach is to oversee a caseload of apprentices and provide comprehensive support and guidance to enhance their experience in the Greenkeeping & Sportsturf Apprenticeship Programmes. Key duties of this role include conducting visits (remotely), assessments and progress reviews to ensure the apprentices' steady advancement towards successful completion of their apprenticeship programmes and End Point Assessment (EPA) Gateway.

To be effective in this role, you will need to be capable of effective communication, utilisation of technology and diligent monitoring of off the job training hours. Furthermore, the coach is expected to possess a thorough understanding of pertinent policies and procedures, encompassing risk management, diversity and equality, health and safety, safeguarding and data protection.

We are looking for a candidate with Level 2 English and Maths (or equivalent) alongside relevant vocational qualifications and/or 5+ years of industry experience in Greenkeeping & Sportsturf (a Level 3 qualification is desirable). You will have proven experience supporting apprentices and employers, working with awarding bodies and EPAOs, using e-portfolio systems, and delivering an outstanding apprenticeship experience. Above all, you will possess excellent organisational skills with a genuine passion for guiding apprentices through their development and helping them reach their full potential.
