Guildford County School invites applications for a Progress Coach to support students, teachers and the school, raising standards through bespoke provision. This is not traditional in-class support, and you will work in our new Loft provision for autistic pupils, opening in 2025.

You will develop positive relationships with allocated students to plan the best academic and social progress. A high standard of literacy and numeracy is essential, and excellent communication is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working with teachers and supporting students is desirable; a high standard of literacy and numeracy is essential.
• Excellent communication skills and IT proficiency are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for students, teachers and the school to raise standards of achievement for all students.
• Develop positive relationships with allocated students to plan the best academic and social progress.
• Be approachable, calm, caring but firm to support learning in a non-traditional provision.
