Key Responsibilities

• Build new software from scratch, creating pragmatic solutions for complex business problems.
• Work closely with operations staff to optimize physical processes.
• Proactively lead projects and initiatives.
• Travel occasionally to Amazon fulfillment centers worldwide.
• Apply strong programming skills, including scripting, querying, and basic object-oriented analysis and design.
• Formulate logic for new systems, develop code, and perform testing/debugging.
• Contribute to team planning and continuously improve practices.
• Collaborate across Amazon teams to share knowledge and resolve project issues.

Basic Qualifications

• Programming experience in Java with a solid understanding of object-oriented design.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Experience deploying scalable, highly available systems.
