Job description

The Transportation Team is looking for a passionate software programmer analyst who will be responsible for working with business and operations teams to gather ship carrier requirements and collaborate with transportation technology teams to integrate new carriers and ship methods into the network. As part of the integration, you will design, develop, and maintain transportation documents such as shipping labels, carrier electronic manifests, and invoices. You will also work alongside development on Amazon Corporate and Divisional Software projects to update and enhance our current software, automate manual configuration processes, and document our systems.

Responsibilities

1. Gather requirements from business and operations teams.
2. Collaborate with transportation technology teams for integration of new carriers and shipping methods.
3. Design, develop, and maintain transportation documentation.
4. Update and enhance existing software and automate manual processes.
5. Document system processes and configurations.
6. Work on Amazon Corporate and Divisional Software projects.

Basic Qualifications

• B.Tech in Computer Science or a related field.
• 2+ years of development or technical support experience.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented development in Java, algorithms, and data structures.
• Experience with UNIX/Linux operating systems.
• Proven troubleshooting skills and root cause analysis.
• Passion for operational excellence.
• Strong working knowledge of R and Tableau.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of relational databases and distributed computing technologies.
• Experience with Linux systems.
