Job summary

British Steel is seeking an experienced PMO Manager to establish and lead the Project Management Office in Scunthorpe. This role will shape governance, oversee programme delivery and drive organisational change across a complex industrial business.

You will build the PMO from the ground up, influence senior leadership, manage risks, costs and dependencies, and support strategic investment decisions while promoting project management best practice.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering large-scale transformation, operational improvement or capital investment programmes.
• Strong PMO, portfolio management or programme experience.
• Expertise in governance, financial controls and benefits realisation.
• Outstanding stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
• PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM PMQ, PMP or equivalent project management qualification.
• Strong understanding of PMO best practice and portfolio management methodologies.
