Department Description

The Streaming, Social & Programmatic team at Channel 4, led by the Head of Streaming, Social & Programmatic, focuses on digital sales products, including streaming, social media, programmatic advertising, and data-driven products. The team aims for industry-leading offerings, exceptional customer service, and revenue targets.

The Programmatic and Data Sales Team

Led by the Programmatic and Data Sales Leader, this team specializes in selling digital programmatic and data propositions, managing relationships with demand-side platforms (DSPs), and developing audience data strategies compliant with GDPR.

Job Purpose

The Programmatic & Data Sales Lead, reporting to the P&D Leader, is responsible for exceeding digital sales revenue through programmatic guaranteed, data targeting, and Private Marketplace sales. The role involves managing client relationships, supporting sales strategies, and contributing to team and operational success.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage daily sales activities to maximize revenue and meet targets.
  2. Track revenues and communicate risks.
  3. Build relationships with senior agency contacts and promote Channel 4’s offerings.
  4. Lead pitches and develop sales materials.
  5. Support internal teams with training on sales propositions.
  6. Manage agency relationships and serve as escalation point for digital issues.
  7. Mentor junior team members and foster a dynamic sales environment.
Essential Experience & Skills
  • 5+ years in online and digital sales, with experience in CTV sales.
  • Understanding of digital strategies and emerging technologies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and client management skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to craft persuasive sales stories.
