Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) is a rapidly growing, global operation unit, which significantly impacts the customer experience.
Within ATS, Amazon Freight Partner is a new program that enables entrepreneurs to start and grow their trucking business alongside Amazon, with exclusive and customized learning, ability to hire from their local communities, and long-term growth potential.
The Amazon Freight Partner (AFP) team is seeking candidates with entrepreneurial spirit who are quick learners and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.

We are looking for a Program Manager to help us continuously improve and optimize our internal AFP Change Management process, generating efficiencies through processes and metrics. You will work cross functionally to gain a global vision on how we operate today and how we can improve the way we operate, leveraging on data and existing or new technology products, innovating and detecting synergies and ways AFP can benefit from solutions already existing within other organizations and partners.
You will build mechanisms to automate and scale the product go to market strategy. You will also have an overview on existing metrics, aligning and enabling one source of information, establishing proper governance mechanisms and deep dives to understand major influencing factors. This role offers an opportunity to make business-critical decisions that will operational performance, to transform the current transportation environment while influencing Senior Leadership on the direction for the Middle Mile business.

You will work in a cross functional environment with Operations, Program Development, Global Tech, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Operations, Carrier management, Network planning teams, and other organizations within Surface Transportations, to develop initiatives that will step change the way we operate.

We are actively seeking a strong communicator, problem solver, comfortable solving ambiguous problems and focused on delighting our customers. You must have experience and be comfortable working with teams across all levels of the organization on a global scale.

Key job responsibilities
- End-to-end ownership of the EU AFP Change Management process, including alignment with the corresponding NA AFP and EU ATS initiatives.
- Create innovative solutions using data and research to address wider challenges in your organization
- Take a big-picture approach in your analysis of business operations, driving improvements across a range of teams and organizations
- Work alongside senior leadership to establish and prioritize improvement programs, seeing them through from start to finish
- Work across program and product manager teams to develop and escale go-to-market initiatives for EU AFP program.
- Design, implement and monitor metrics to track the progress and growth of our operations and programs, and to highlight issues on a timely basis, with proper governance mechanisms.
- Align and collaborate internally and cross organization, to enable one source of information, performing in depth analysis where needed to understand major influencing factors.

A day in the life
As Program Manager, you’ll drive and manage the implementation of creative, data-driven change in Amazon, leading improvement projects and programs. You’ll use strategic thinking to define and implement an efficient project plan.

Program Managers have significant responsibilities, and you’ll deal with complex challenges with creativity, innovation, and leadership. With a responsibility extending beyond process improvements, you could also contribute to improving other areas of the business, like diversity, equity, and inclusion.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- Experience in program or project management
- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
- Experience defining and executing program requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience leading process improvements
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
