Job summary

Leicestershire County Council is seeking a Project Manager in the Transport Projects and Programmes team within the Environment and Transport Department. You will help improve governance and risk management of the department's capital programme and lead a small sub-team providing coordination and programme management support.

You will identify and develop improvement programmes, manage projects to time, quality and cost, and drive performance improvements across services.

Qualifications

Degree in an appropriate subject or equivalent/experience.
Experience in a commercial environment relating to design, management or administrative processes and delivering projects and programmes to time, quality and cost.
Excellent organisational skills with ability to prioritise work within tight timescales and to agreed targets.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, writing reports and delivering briefs.
Ability to build positive relationships across stakeholders, peers and partners based on trust.
Understanding of confidentiality and ability to communicate with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

Develop governance and risk management for the Department’s capital programme.
Manage a small sub-team providing coordination and programme management support.
Support performance management and drive continuous improvement in service outcomes.
Lead and deliver projects and programmes to time, quality and cost.
