Imperial College London seeks an Associate Professor or Professor in Geotechnical Engineering within the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering.

The successful candidate will lead a vibrant research programme, secure funding, and collaborate across academia and industry while contributing to undergraduate and postgraduate education and supervising PhD students.

Qualifications

• PhD in Geotechnical Engineering or related field with established national and developing international reputation at Associate Professor level, or international reputation at Professor level.
• Excellent research record and experience leading design and delivery of research programmes.
• Significant track record in attracting high levels of research funding at Associate Professor level, or sustained track record at Professor level.

Responsabilités

• Plan, resource and direct an original research programme in Geotechnical Engineering.
• Lead research projects and develop collaborations with colleagues, Imperial, and external partners.
• Contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate education in soil mechanics and geotechnical engineering, including teaching and supervision of PhD students.
