Job summary

Imperial College London invites applications for an Associate Professor or Professor in Geotechnical Engineering in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at South Kensington, with a hybrid working pattern.

The successful candidate will lead an original, funded research programme, collaborate across the department and with industry, and contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in soil mechanics and geotechnical engineering.

Qualifications

• PhD in Geotechnical Engineering or related field.
• Established national and developing international reputation at Associate Professor level, or established international reputation at Professor level.

Responsibilities

• Plan, resource and direct an original and impactful research programme in Geotechnical Engineering, leading research projects and developing collaborative projects with colleagues across the Department and Imperial, as well as with external academic and industry partners.
• Contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate education in soil mechanics and geotechnical engineering, including teaching and the supervision of research students.
