Job summary

Imperial College London seeks an Assistant Professor in Geotechnical Engineering within the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. The successful candidate will lead an original research programme, collaborate across the Geotechnics Section, and develop external partnerships with industry.

You will contribute to teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in soil mechanics and geotechnical engineering, including supervision of research students.

Qualifications

• PhD in Geotechnical Engineering or related field.
• Developing national reputation in geotechnical engineering.
• Experience in undergraduate and postgraduate education.

Responsibilities

• Plan, resource and direct an original and impactful research programme in Geotechnical Engineering.
• Lead research projects and develop collaborations with colleagues, Imperial and external partners.
• Contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and supervise research students.
