Qualifications

• PhD (or equivalent) in Geotechnical Engineering or a related field.
• Developing national reputation in geotechnical engineering.
• Evidence of ability to contribute to low-carbon energy, climate resilience, and SDGs.
• Experience with undergraduate and postgraduate education; PhD supervision desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan, resource and direct an original and impactful research programme in Geotechnical Engineering.
• Lead research projects and develop collaborations with colleagues across the Department and Imperial, as well as with external academic and industry partners.
• Contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate education in soil mechanics and geotechnical engineering, including teaching and supervision of research students.
