Imperial College London is recruiting an Assistant Professor in Civil Engineering Materials. You will develop and lead an original programme of research, secure external funding, and collaborate with industry and academia to maximise impact.

The role includes teaching across undergraduate, MSc and doctoral programmes, mentoring PhD candidates, and contributing to curriculum development. A PhD in Civil Engineering Materials or related field is essential.

Qualificações

• A PhD (or equivalent experience) in Civil Engineering Materials or a related field.
• A developing national reputation in Civil Engineering Materials.
• A strong publication record, commensurate with career stage.
• Experience of training undergraduate and postgraduate students, and supervising higher degrees (PhD) is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and lead an original programme of research in civil engineering materials, addressing important engineering and societal challenges.
• Secure external funding, lead research projects, and build collaborations within the Department, College and wider research community.
• Contribute to teaching and assessment across undergraduate, MSc and doctoral programmes and supervise undergraduate and MSc research projects.
• Provide academic and pastoral support and contribute to curriculum development and the enhancement of teaching and learning.
