Job summary

The University of Brighton's School of Humanities and Social Science is seeking a Professional Placements Administrator to join the placements team within the College of Health, Education and Public Life to support social work placements.

You will organise the placing of students in their settings, oversee payments to placement partners and check processes for compliance with professional and statutory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Strong customer service experience with excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work quickly and accurately.
  • Strong IT skills including Word and Excel; experience maintaining databases and accurate records.

Location: Brighton - Moulsecoomb
Salary: £27,319 to £30,378 per annum
Contract Length: 12 months

We are seeking to recruit a Professional Placements Administrator to join our placements team within the College of Health, Education and Public Life to support our social work placements.

Your effective organisational skills will be key to providing placement support to our students in this busy and highly responsible role. We will want you to administer the placing of students in their settings, oversee payments to partners and check processes for compliance in accordance with professional and statutory requirements. Using your excellent customer service and communication skills you will act as a key point of contact for placement providers, students and academic staff, building effective working relationships and ensuring the smooth administration of placements.

To Be Successful In This Position, You Should Have
  • The skills to be able to build networks and maintain positive working relationships
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good customer service experience, which will include excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work quickly and accurately
  • Strong IT skills, including high level of competence in Microsoft Word and Excel, together with experience of maintaining databases and accurate records

This is a full-time fixed term role to cover a period of maternity leave, and we welcome applications from those looking to job share.

After initial training has been completed, and once agreed with your manager, you’ll have the option to work from home for part of the week as part of our agile working policy.
