Job summary

Plymouth University is seeking a Programme Administrator (Internal Only) to support the Peninsula Medical School's programme delivery. This role requires being on site three days per week, with limited option for working from home due to business needs.

Internal candidates only (staff or students) are eligible to apply. You will provide administrative and reception support, manage student and programme data, and coordinate meetings and events.

Programme Administrator (Internal Only) Plymouth University Plymouth, UK

This position is available on an internal only basis, therefore, only candidates who are currently employed by or studying with University of Plymouth are eligible to apply.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an existing University colleague to bring their administrative expertise to a key role supporting programme delivery within Peninsula Medical School.

About the role

We are seeking a highly organised and customer-focused Programme Administrator to support the delivery of administrative services within the Peninsula Medical School, Faculty of Health. Working closely with Senior Programme Co-ordinators, you will provide efficient programme administration, coordinate meetings and events, manage student and programme data, and act as a key contact for students, staff and external stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering a high-quality service.

You will:
  • Provide effective administrative, reception and information support for degree programmes, ensuring a high standard of customer service.
  • Maintain accurate records and data using a range of systems and databases, producing documentation and reports as required.
  • Organise and support meetings, visits and events, coordinating schedules, facilities and associated arrangements.
  • Respond to enquiries from students, staff, partners and stakeholders, providing timely information, advice and guidance.
  • Support team planning, contribute to continuous service improvement, and provide guidance to administrative colleagues where appropriate.

For this role, you will need to be on site 3 days a week. Although we can accommodate working from home for this role, flexibility to be on-site will be expected due to business needs.

We're currently unable to sponsor this role under the Skilled Worker visa route. However, we welcome applicants who already have the right to work in the UK, including those on visa routes we can accept (e.g. Graduate visas).
