Job summary

Stow Healthcare is seeking a Painter and Decorator to maintain our homes, ensuring safe, comfortable environments for residents and staff. You will handle painting, decorating, and making good of communal areas, bedrooms, and corridors, reporting to the Home Manager.

The role requires a practical approach, good communication, and a commitment to health and safety, with on-call duties and a focus on high-quality finishes.

Qualifications

• Experience in Painting and Decorating (additional trade skills are a plus).
• Willingness to complete training and support fire safety requirements.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with colleagues, contractors, and suppliers.
• Excellent reliability, attendance, and a proactive mindset.
• A commitment to maintaining a safe, compliant, and welcoming environment for residents and colleagues alike.
• Reliable with a strong focus on health, safety, and standards.

Responsibilities

• Practical and hands-on painting and decorating tasks including preparation, painting, decorating, making good of vacant bedrooms and communal areas.
• Maintain accurate records and compliance documentation.
