Job summary

G2 Legal Limited is seeking a Professional Indemnity Solicitor to join its expanding risk team and defend professional negligence claims for insured professionals and insurers.

The role offers exposure to high-value matters within a collaborative environment and flexible hybrid working. You will work closely with senior lawyers, develop client relationships, and manage a varied caseload with support and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Be a qualified Solicitor with 1+ PQE.
• Demonstrate genuine interest in Professional Indemnity/professional liability work.
• Ideally completed a seat in professional indemnity or a transferable area (e.g. defendant personal injury, commercial litigation, property litigation, or contentious probate).
• Demonstrate strong client handling and communication skills.
• Capable of managing a caseload with appropriate supervision.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Proactive and flexible approach to work.
• Collaborative team player with willingness to learn and develop.
• Motivated to contribute to a high-performing and ambitious team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with and manage a mixed caseload of professional negligence claims against a wide range of professionals.
• Handle both pre-action and litigated matters.
• Review documentation to analyse key issues and determine next steps.
• Manage disclosure exercises and draft witness statements.
• Support senior fee earners on complex and high-value claims.
• Liaise directly with experts and counsel.
• Assist with alternative dispute resolution processes, including mediation.

I'm currently working with a leading international law firm seeking to recruit a Professional Indemnity Solicitor to join its highly regarded Professional & Commercial Risk team in Leeds.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Junior Lawyer looking to build a career in professional indemnity work, gaining exposure to high-quality, complex matters within a collaborative and supportive environment. The Role

You will join a busy and growing team acting for insured professionals and major insurers in the defence of professional negligence claims, alongside providing advice on policy coverage, recovery and wider strategic issues.

The role offers a broad and varied caseload, as well as the opportunity to work closely with experienced Senior Lawyers on more complex matters.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with and managing a mixed caseload of professional negligence claims against a wide range of professionals
