Base pay range

Rapidly growing elite US law firm is looking to hire a new Professional Development Coordinator to work with some of London’s very best lawyers.

Professional Development Coordinator duties will include:

  1. Provide assistance for London internal programs including preparing sign-in sheets and organising final materials.
  2. Schedule conference room space for events and programs.
  3. Invite management – liaising with secretaries/presenters, reception on availability, understanding populations of groups to know who to invite, understand training requirements.
  4. Keeping up to date with date/session changes – flagging where appropriate.
  5. Attend and monitor live training programs.
  6. Coordinate across the Operation's Team (including Business Development, DE&I, Legal Personnel) to manage and synchronise firm’s multiple event calendars.
  7. Assist training coordinators with post-programming materials, including finalising timed agendas, sign-in sheets, evaluation forms and summaries.
  8. Attendance tracking and uploading training videos and materials to the firm’s tracking system, Micron.
  9. Serve as back-up and provide support for all programs and events.
  10. Help maintain multiple Career Development tracking charts.
  11. Assist with scheduling one-on-one coaching sessions with external coaches and internal team members’ meetings with large classes of associates.
  12. Assist Career Development team with outside consultant/coaching schedules.
  13. Assisting with new joiner onboarding including the extranet and new joiner forms etc.
  14. Tracking the HireRight check process for all legal joiners including liaising with HireRight and candidates to follow up as necessary.
  15. Assisting the wider HR team with visa and immigration processes and tracking as required.
  16. Preparing first draft leave letters for Senior Manager to review.
  17. Scheduling check-in meetings as required for the Senior Manager with new joiners and flagging these dates for regular PG outreach.
  18. Assisting with the London set up of lateral ‘buddy’ program.
  19. Creating and updating London PG team sheets and ‘Facebook’ docs on regular basis (in conjunction with London Marketing & BD/Graphics team).
  20. Assisting with scheduling and administration on the annual review process including tracking feedback to identify areas for proactive follow up.

Professional Development Coordinator requirements:

  1. One to two years of experience working within a professional services environment, ideally a global law firm.
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  3. Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task and work in an environment with shifting priorities and have meticulous attention to detail.
  4. Resourceful, driven attitude with a genuine desire and energy to use a ‘can do’ approach to ensure team success.
  5. Enthusiastic about the subject of legal professional development and personnel support.
