Professional Construction Assessor - (Civil Engineering, Quanitity Survetor)

Location: An Ofsted rated college in North Yorkshire (apprentices located across Tees Valley). Salary: £33,000 £38,000 per annum (DOE). Holidays / Benefits: 30 days holiday, NEST pension scheme

Think FE are proud to be working with a highly esteemed College in North Yorkshire, who are looking for a motivated construction professional with experience in Civil Engineering, site supervising or Quantity Surveying to support apprentices working towards Level 2 3. This role will be based at a college in North Yorkshire, with regular site visits to apprentices across the Tees Valley and remote assessments as needed via Teams.

You will:
  • Undertake assessments of apprentices in civil engineering, site supervision and quantity surveying standards.
  • Plan and conduct both face-to-face site visits and remote interviews/assessments.
  • Maintain accurate records, liaise with college assessors and employers, and ensure you meet quality assurance requirements.
  • Prepare for each assessment reviewing apprentice portfolios, planning interviews, and utilising your initiative to guide scenario-based evaluations.
What will you need?
  • A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Civil Engineering, Site Supervision, or Quantity Surveying.
  • A strong interest developing and assessing apprentices support to work towards assessors qualification is fully funded by the college.
  • A full driving licence and own transport to travel around the Tees Valley for site visits.
  • Committed and reliable with strong self-motivation, initiative, strong communication and organisational skills.
