Do you enjoy coordinating multiple processes, supporting senior stakeholders, and upholding professional standards? Then this is the role for you!

Alongside the interests and challenges of the role, we know that candidates also want to be enthused about the mission and values of the organisation they might be joining.

IStructE is a charity and the professional body for structural engineers. We have a global membership who have designed many of the world’s iconic structures as well as many of the buildings and bridges we take almost for granted in our daily lives.

Creating safer structures for the benefit of the public is at the heart of our remit, and this includes environmental sustainability, with structural engineers and the Institution at the heart of the impact construction has on natural resources and climate change.

We are passionate about inclusion and work hard to help those with talent, irrespective of background, to find and develop a route into the profession. Many of our members work to support the world’s most vulnerable communities, especially those living in places prone to natural hazards such as earthquakes and extreme flooding.

If working as part of a staff team of about 80 people and alongside many of our members to address these issues appeals to you, then we would love to hear from you.

The Role

As our Professional Conduct Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the Professional Conduct Department, managing enquiries, coordinating committee meetings, preparing case documentation, and helping to uphold the Institution's professional standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised individual who thrives on accuracy, collaboration, and making a meaningful impact.

To be shortlisted for this post, you must have:

  • Experience working in a support or/and administrative role.
  • Experience being the first point of contact for external enquiries.
  • Experience with committee management duties (booking rooms, minute taking, etc.) would be advantageous.

What we can offer you:

  • 25 days’ paid annual leave (rising with service) plus bank holidays and flexi leave
  • A pension scheme with up to 9% employer contributions
  • Life Insurance
  • Private Medical Insurance
  • Permanent Health Insurance
  • Health Cash Plan
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Season Ticket Loan
  • Cycle to Work Scheme
  • Continuous Professional Development
  • Salary Progression

Working Conditions:

We are based on the edge of the city, our office is bright, modern and open plan. We are an inclusive and friendly workforce.
