Energy Jobline ZR is recruiting an experienced MIG/TIG Welder for a busy workshop in Stourport. The role involves welding and fabricating metal components to engineering drawings and specifications, in a production environment.

Key tasks include precise MIG/TIG welding on mild and hard steel, reading drawings, using hand and power tools, and ensuring parts meet quality standards. This permanent role offers a day shift with regular hours.

Qualifications

• Experienced MIG/TIG Welder with ability to read engineering drawings.
• Reliable with good communication skills and able to use hand tools.
• IT literate and able to troubleshoot welding issues.

Responsibilities

• Execute precise MIG and TIG welding on various materials.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
• Assist in assembly of components per drawings and specs.
• Complete fabrications to meet schedules and production requirements.
• Weld mild and hard steel 2.5mm to 20mm.
• Ensure tooling and fixtures meet production needs.
• Manufacture fabrications to drawings or customer requirements.
• Perform other duties in the welding area.

Job Description

We are currently hiring MIG/TIG Welders to join a leading manufacturer. You will be in a busy workshop environment and responsible for performing high-quality welds, using MIG and TIG techniques, to fabricate and assemble metal components.

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am-4pm
Friday 7am-1pm
Rate: £15.19
Type: Perm
Location: Stourport

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute precise MIG and TIG welding on a variety of materials, including mild and hard steel.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment efficiently.
• Assist in the assembly of components, ensuring proper fit and finish according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Responsible for the completion of a wide range of fabrications to time to meet powder coating schedules/production requirements.
• Welding mild and hard steel ranging from 2.5mm to 20mm.
• Ensuring tooling, jigs and fixtures are fit for purpose and meet production requirements to produce components to the required standard.
• Responsible for the manufacture of fabrications to drawings or customer requirements.
• Any other reasonable duties in the welding area.

Requirements:

• Reliability and good communication skills.
• Able to use hand tools.
• Experienced MIG/TIG Welder.
• Must be confident carrying out fillet welds on various types of steel and tube.
• Ability to read technical drawings.
• IT literate.
• Ability to troubleshoot.
