Job summary

TRC Yorkshire in Lye, DY9, is seeking MIG/TIG Welders for a permanent position in a busy workshop. You will perform high-quality welds using MIG and TIG techniques to fabricate and assemble metal components.

Role requires reading technical drawings, reliability, and the ability to work with various steels from 2.5mm to 20mm. A stable, safety-conscious operator who can travel between sites is preferred.

Qualifications

• Reliability and good communication skills.
• Able to use hand tools.
• Must be confident carrying out fillet welds on various types of steel and tube.
• Ability to read technical drawings
• Must have own means of transport to allow for travel between sites

Responsibilities

• Execute precise MIG and TIG welding on a variety of materials, including mild and hard steel.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment efficiently
• Assist in the assembly of components, ensuring proper fit and finish according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Welding mild and hard steel ranging from 2.5mm to 20mm.
• Ensuring tooling, jigs and fixtures are fit for purpose and meet production requirements to produce components to the required standard.
• Assistance in working for other departments when necessary.
• Any other reasonable duties in the welding area.

We are currently hiring MIG/TIG Welders to join a leading manufacturer. You will be in a busy workshop environment and responsible for performing high-quality welds, using MIG and TIG techniques, to fabricate and assemble metal components.

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am-4pm Friday 7am-1pm

Rate: £15.19
