Job summary

TRC Yorkshire is recruiting skilled MIG/TIG Welders to join a busy workshop in the UK. You will weld and fabricate metal components using MIG and TIG techniques in a production environment.

The ideal candidate can read engineering drawings, operate welding and fabrication tools, and maintain quality welds on mild steel and other metals. This permanent role offers a Monday-Thursday 7am-4pm schedule with Friday 7am-1pm.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform MIG and TIG welding with high tolerance.
• Proficient reading of technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience with mild steel and structural components preferred.
• Must have own transport to travel between sites.

Job description

We are currently hiring MIG/TIG Welders to join a leading manufacturer. You will be in a busy workshop environment and responsible for performing high-quality welds, using MIG and TIG techniques, to fabricate and assemble metal components.

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am-4pm Friday 7am-1pm

Rate: £15.19

Location: Lye, DY9

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute precise MIG and TIG welding on a variety of materials, including mild and hard steel.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment efficiently
• Assist in the assembly of components, ensuring proper fit and finish according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Welding mild and hard steel ranging from 2.5mm to 20mm.
• Ensuring tooling, jigs and fixtures are fit for purpose and meet production requirements to produce components to the required standard.
• Assistance in working for other departments when necessary.
• Any other reasonable duties in the welding area.

Requirements:

• Reliability and good communication skills.
• Able to use hand tools.
• Must be confident carrying out fillet welds on various types of steel and tube.
• Ability to read technical drawings
• Must have own means of transport to allow for travel between sites
