Job summary

A leading broadcasting company is seeking an individual for the JT Kit Hire department in London White City. The role involves managing equipment bookings, maintaining inventory, and assisting productions with essential equipment. Ideal candidates will have strong computer skills, a proactive approach, and an interest in television production technology. The position requires excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a basic understanding of mechanical repairs. This role may require additional hours and travel.

Responsibilities

  • Organize camera and equipment bookings and advise on costs.
  • Log all bookings in the kit tracker system.
  • Check returned equipment for damage.
  • Liaise with productions for overdue or missing kit.
  • Perform basic repairs and maintenance of equipment.
  • Assist with collecting and delivering equipment.
  • Maintain inventory stock levels.
  • Build relationships with productions as the primary contact.

Job description

Workplace: London White City. The expectation is 5 days in the office.

Purpose of role

The role involves supporting the daily operations of the JT Kit Hire department. This includes supplying various ITV Studios productions with essential equipment such as camera kits, memory cards, laptops, and other production tools. A key part of the job is collaborating closely with Production Managers and Co-Ordinators to confirm they have the right equipment, that it is properly maintained, and to offer guidance on its use.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organise camera and equipment bookings and advise on costs Prepare equipment for productions to collect
  • Log all bookings in the kit tracker system
  • Check returned equipment is in good working order and check for any missing parts or damage.
  • Liaise with productions for any overdue, missing kit or equipment faults.
  • Basic repairs and maintenance of equipment
  • Assist with physical collecting, delivering and sending equipment to/from goods in and productions
  • Booking in new equipment onto the system and labelling Cleaning and maintaining equipment including formatting memory cards and drives and reinstalling software on editing laptops.
  • Proactive approach to identifying potential issues which may impact productions before they arise.
  • Maintain and identify areas of inventory which may fall below acceptable stock levels
  • Answer, troubleshoot and assist with production team queries Provide cover while other team members are out of the office Work independently and as part of a team sharing information in order to best serve productions.
  • Build relationships with productions and be the primary point of contact.
  • Cleaning equipment as per ITV Covid-19 guidelines.
