Job summary

Itch Media Limited is seeking a Studio Assistant to support the day-to-day running of our studio, office and kit room in Greater London. You will help manage kit bookings, prep gear for shoots, and assist with on-set needs, ensuring all equipment is logged, safe and ready for use.

You’ll work closely with the Studio Manager and Filmmaking team, carrying out basic IT tasks, repairs and maintenance, while keeping the workspace tidy, safe and efficient for the team.

Qualifications

  • Experience with cam/lighting gear in a professional setting.
  • Ability to manage kit bookings and maintain equipment logs.
  • Willingness to assist across office, studio and IT tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain organisation, cleanliness and readiness of office, studio and kit room.
  • Oversee kit booking system; ensure equipment is logged, maintained and ready for use.
  • Provide day-to-day operational and technical support to keep studio and facilities running smoothly.
  • Keep office, studio and kit room tidy and safe for staff and visitors.
  • Manage kit bookings and track equipment in/out; arrange repairs or replacements as needed.
  • Oversee minor office repairs and coordinate with contractors as required.
  • Organise and track props; ensure hired kit is packaged and returned to client or rental company.
  • Assist with in-office shoots and IT tasks; provide first-line IT support and escalate when needed.

Job description

The Studio Assistant supports the smooth day-to-day running of ITCH Media’s studio, office, and kit room.

With a good understanding of camera and lighting equipment, they oversee the booking, organisation and maintenance of the agency’s kit, ensuring it is stored safely, logged accurately, and is in full working order before being sent out to use on set. Assisting with kit prep and being on hand to help when the team of filmmakers return from shoots.

They work closely with the Studio Manager and the Filmmaking team to provide hands‑on support for shoots that are ITCH studio‑based, whilst also being the go‑to person for general upkeep in the office, ensuring all facilities and equipment are in good working order.

Also handling office repairs, restocking, and smaller IT tasks, including basic server admin and hardware support, they take pride in keeping the space in good working order whilst also being an integral support for the filmmaking team.

Responsibilities

Main Responsibility

  • Maintain the organisation, cleanliness, and operational readiness of the office, studio and kit room.
  • Manage and oversee the kit booking system, ensuring all equipment is logged, maintained and ready for use.
  • Provide day‑to‑day operational and technical support to keep ITCH’s studio and facilities running smoothly.

Day-to-day

  • Keep the office, studio, and kit room tidy, organised, and safe for all staff and visitors.
  • Manage the kit booking system, ensuring accurate tracking of equipment in and out.
  • Conduct regular kit checks, arranging repairs or replacements as needed.
  • Ensure all kit is safely stored, labelled, and easy to locate.
  • Restock office supplies, including kitchen and stationery items, as required.
  • Coordinate and oversee minor office repairs or maintenance work, liaising with contractors where necessary.
  • In charge of all items delivered to the office and supporting the producers with any returns.
  • Organise and track all props.
  • Ensure all hired kit for shoots is packaged and returned safely to the client or rental company.
  • Support with small‑scale IT tasks, including basic server admin and IT hardware setup.
  • Assist with in‑office shoots, ensuring the studio is set up, prepared, and reset after use.
  • Provide first‑line support for IT equipment, escalating to external support if required.
  • Help manage general storage areas to keep them organised and accessible.
  • Assist the Studio Manager with any operational or facilities‑related tasks.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are maintained across the studio and office spaces.
  • Provide first‑line support for IT equipment and software, including Scoro, Hubspot, HiBob and Google Workspace, escalating to external support if required.
  • Support the onboarding of new staff with workspace and IT setup.
