Role Overview

The role involves working in the assembly and fabrication of large X-ray equipment with detailed component assembly, carried out in a semi-cleanroom environment. The production room cleaner will be responsible for the day-to-day cleaning operations of the chemistry lab, clean room, assembly area, and shop floor.

• Thorough cleaning of the clean room as per clean room protocols. Regularly clean other areas of production as assigned by the duty manager on a weekly basis.
• Clean, stock, and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, and other production equipment).
• The work will largely be carried out in a carefully controlled environment to avoid particulate contamination and to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness.
• The role will primarily involve cleaning and supporting detailed component cleaning, leak checking of parts, and general assembly work such as component cleaning and preparation.
• The production cleaner will also support and assist with the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the chemistry lab.

Key Skills

• You will need to be disciplined to ensure maintenance of best possible working practices within the chemistry lab.
• Operate in line with health and safety practices within the laboratory. Always wear appropriate PPE and follow safe handling of chemicals.
• Monitor inventory levels and order materials and supplies as needed. May recommend changes in inventory levels based on historical order and usage data.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience as a cleaner in a clean room, chemistry lab, assembly, manufacturing, or factory environment.
• Prior experience in component assembly processes would be advantageous.
• Able to integrate well into an established team supporting and assisting colleagues.
• Experience in handling chemicals, lower-level testing, and assembly.
