We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Production Technician / Machinist to work a Double Day Shift pattern in Fareham.

Introduction

The primary role of the Production Technician / Machinist will be to run large complex computerised machinery, logging results and data, and working to achieve high quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Running, setting, and operating large complex machinery
• Working to high-quality standards to produce the products
• Following the site's health and safety procedures
• Participating in 5S methodology and ensuring work areas are clean, tidy, and HSE compliant

Ideal Experience

Although full training will be provided due to the complexity of the machines and controls, the candidate should have previous machining experience, especially with computerised controls, a can-do attitude, and a willingness to learn new skills.

Experience or knowledge of engineering drawings or manufacturing would be advantageous.

The machinery used on site is semi-automated with computerised controls. Machines and robots are setup, monitored, and operated by Technicians, adhering to high-quality standards. The systems involve extensive use of computerised controls and touch screens.
