FREELANCE ROLE

WongDoody London is seeking a full-time, highly skilled and detail-obsessed Production Technician to join our global digital operations team on a freelance basis.

Do you know your way around DCPs, color spaces, and media workflows like the back of your hand?

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Support daily digital content workflows, including uploading, downloading, logging, QC, and version control for high volumes of files.
• Operate and maintain projection and playback systems, including digital cinema packages, GDC players, Black Magic, and immersive sound formats like Dolby Atmos.
• Schedule, prep, and run internal, virtual, and in-person screenings — handling everything from file transfers to system checks and last-minute tech issues.
• Manage demo support including setup, file QC, and hardware configuration for cutting-edge content experiences.
• Collaborate with global teammates to ensure 24/7 coverage and SLA compliance (15-minute response time for incoming queries).
• Troubleshoot issues in real-time, escalate as needed, and ensure all technical environments are production-ready.
• Monitor and maintain equipment, perform routine checks (lens cleaning, calibration, etc.), and coordinate any necessary repairs or upgrades.
• Track asset inventory and manage deployment of 12+ hardware/software kits per week across multiple regions.
• Work closely with internal and external teams to ensure adherence to exacting quality standards — 95%+ yield and 99%+ accuracy required.
• Follow strict security protocols, manage access permissions, and protect sensitive content across all platforms.
• Maintain consistent file naming conventions and metadata standards to streamline searchability and archiving.

WHAT YOU'VE GOT

• 5+ years in a post-production, media operations, or digital distribution role.
• Hands-on experience with digital cinema protocols and gear: DCP, KDM, GDC players, ProRes, aspect ratios, and color spaces.
• Fluency in post tools: Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, PIX, Flow Capture, Aspera, Airtable, Helpscout, Evercast, and Crestron.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and system operation skills — projection, sound systems, QC, and content formatting.
• Knowledge of workflows including dailies, WIPs, playlist clean-up, brand review, clip pulls, and archival.
• Strong understanding of metadata, file naming, and structured content libraries.
• Experience supporting live demos or immersive media tech a plus.
• Familiarity with working across highly secure, confidential environments and following detailed process protocols.
