Job summary

Tayto Group in Scunthorpe is seeking an experienced Production Team Leader for the night shift to manage a production line and lead a team of operatives. The role focuses on achieving safe, efficient and high-quality output on the night shift.

You will take ownership of line performance, drive improvements, ensure GMP compliance and mentor team members, while working within a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• 3-5 years' experience in a Team Leader/Shift Leader/Supervisory role.
• Experience leading production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Strong understanding of food safety, quality and health & safety standards.
• Strong people management and communication skills.
• Ability to make decisions confidently and work independently on nights.
• Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Computer literacy and experience completing production documentation.

Responsibilities

Sunday to Thursday, 10pm - 6am

£41,000 per annum

Working in partnership with Tayto Group in Scunthorpe, we're recruiting for an experienced Production Team Leader to join their night shift operation.

This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the UK's leading snack manufacturers, home to iconic brands including Golden Wonder, Mr Porky, REAL Crisps and Tayto.

We're looking for a confident and capable production leader with recent food manufacturing experience who is comfortable taking ownership of a production line and leading a team of operatives during the night shift.

Because this role operates solely on nights, you'll be a key decision-maker on shift and someone who can lead from the front, solve problems independently and ensure production, quality and safety standards are maintained at all times.

The Role

As Production Team Leader, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day performance of your production line, ensuring production targets are achieved safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

You will lead, motivate and support your team whilst driving continuous improvements across productivity, performance and engagement.

What We're Looking For

Essential

• Recent experience within a food manufacturing environment
• Ideally 3-5 years' experience in a Team Leader, Line Leader, Shift Leader or Supervisory position
• Experience leading production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
• Good understanding of food safety, quality and health & safety standards
• Strong people management and communication skills
• Ability to make decisions confidently and work independently on nights
• Good organisational and problem-solving skills
• Computer literacy and experience completing production documentation

Desirable

• FMCG manufacturing experience
• Food Safety or HACCP qualification
• ILM, Team Leader or Supervisory qualification
• Experience of continuous improvement initiatives
