Job summary

Tayto Group in Scunthorpe is seeking an experienced Production Team Leader for the night shift to manage a production line and lead a team of operatives. The role focuses on achieving safe, efficient and high-quality output on the night shift.

You will take ownership of line performance, drive improvements, ensure GMP compliance and mentor team members, while working within a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• 3-5 years' experience in a Team Leader/Shift Leader/Supervisory role.
• Experience leading production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Strong understanding of food safety, quality and health & safety standards.
• Strong people management and communication skills.
• Ability to make decisions confidently and work independently on nights.
• Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Computer literacy and experience completing production documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a team of production operatives.
• Take ownership of line performance during the night shift.
• Ensure production schedules and targets are achieved.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, quality and GMP compliance.
• Monitor operational performance and address issues promptly.
• Promote a positive safety culture and ensure procedures are followed.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and non-conformances when required.
• Drive improvements in efficiency, waste reduction and productivity.
• Support training and development of team members.
• Communicate performance updates and shift priorities effectively.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality and management to maximise line performance.
• Maintain housekeeping and hygiene standards.
