Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Night Shift Production Manager for a leading FMCG food manufacturer based in Scunthorpe. You will oversee an overnight operation from 10pm to 6am, managing a team of up to 50 people and driving cost, quality, safety and people development.

Key duties include meeting daily production targets, reducing costs and waste, presenting KPI data at shift meetings, and developing a high-performing team while ensuring compliance with site procedures and health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• The ability to manage production activity during an overnight shift.
• Experience coordinating daily production priorities and work plans.
• Confidence in monitoring output and responding to operational issues.
• Ability to organise clear shift handovers and communicate key updates.
• Experience with production teams to keep work on schedule.

Responsibilities

Job description

As a Night Shift Production Manager, you will oversee overnight production within the FMCG industry. Monday to Thursday 10pm - 6am.

Client Details

Our client are a leading FMCG food manufacturing business, based in Scunthorpe.

Description

You will manage a team of up to 50 people with emphasis on cost, quality, customer service, safety and people development. Day to day duties will include:

• Achieving the daily shift production, liaising with other members of the production team
• Minimise cost elements of the operation including absence, material conversion, waste and giveaway
• Prepare and present information at daily shift meeting, focusing on KPIs and action plans to deliver on performance
• Develop skills and knowledge of all production team members to create high-performing teams
• Monitor and improve health and safety performance in accordance with site objectives, legislation, and standard operating procedures

Profile

The successful candidate should have;

• The ability to manage production activity during an overnight shift.
• Experience of coordinating daily production priorities and work plans.
• Confidence in monitoring output and responding to operational issues.
• Ability to organise clear shift handovers and communicate key updates.
• Experience of working with production teams to keep work on schedule.
• Experience within FMCG would be desirable

Job Offer

• Permanent Night Shift Production Manager position in Scunthorpe.
• Salary is £41,000
• Night shift hours, Sunday to Thursday, 10pm to 6am.
• 30 days' holiday per year, plus 3 Bank Holidays.
