Job summary

Bradgate Bakery in Leicester is seeking an Intake Team Leader to guide a busy team responsible for receiving and checking goods for the site. You will ensure deliveries are checked, stored safely, and stock levels are accurate to support production.

You will coach your team, work with Production and Despatch to meet daily needs, and uphold food safety and health & safety rules, contributing to an efficient, compliant operation. This role also offers development within a leading food producer.

Qualifications

• Experience in food production, intake, or a warehouse role.
• Experience leading or supporting a team.
• Good understanding of stock control and goods handling.
• Reliable, organised and able to work in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Intake team during each shift.
• Check deliveries and ensure goods are received correctly.
• Ensure stock is stored in the right place and kept in good condition.
• Check stock levels and report issues or shortages.
• Complete delivery records and stock checks.
• Collaborate with Production, Despatch and other teams to meet daily needs.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and health and safety rules.

About The Role

As an Intake Team Leader, you will lead a team that receives and checks goods for our food production site. You will make sure deliveries are checked, stored, and handled safely. You will support your team and help make sure production has the stock it needs, when it needs it.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Intake team during each shift
• Check deliveries and make sure goods are received correctly
• Make sure stock is stored in the right place and kept in good condition
• Check stock levels and report any issues or shortages
• Make sure delivery records and stock checks are completed
• Work with Production, Despatch, and other teams to meet daily needs
• Make sure food safety, hygiene, and health and safety rules are followed
• Train and support team members to help them do their role well
