Job summary

ADVANCED MANUFACTURING (SHEFFIELD) LIMITED is recruiting a Production Supervisor to drive manufacturing in line with schedule and lead a team of operators. You will monitor KPIs, ensure quality documentation, and support the Production Lead in achieving targets.

The role requires 12-hour shift flexibility, GCSEs in English/Maths, and demonstrated leadership. Training and safety are integral to daily responsibilities in a high-reliability environment.

Qualifications

• Educated to GCSE Grade C or above in English and Mathematics or equivalent.
• Apprentice-trained or time-served experience.
• Experience managing a team.
• Minimum Level 2 Leadership Qualification required.

The Position

• Progress manufacturing in line with production schedule.
• Report production KPIs daily and weekly to the leadership team, identifying where support is needed.
• Ensure all production documentation adheres to the relevant quality standard.
• Managing and motivating production teams to meet production goals.
• Provide support to the Production Lead.
• Identify & advise your line manager of personal training requirements to ensure and enhance achievement of job role.
• Identifying production issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Support and train new starters.
• Provide guidance to apprentices.
• Conduct returns to work and appraisals with team members
• Approval of Holidays and employee time sheets
• Comply with all applicable health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and legal obligations, including those relevant to CNC machining and high-reliability manufacturing.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment, reporting any hazards, incidents, near-misses, or unsafe behaviours promptly and accurately.
• Use and maintain Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriately, ensuring correct use in line with task and risk requirements.
• Participate in mandatory EHS training, emergency response drills, and company health and wellbeing initiatives. Support a culture of continuous improvement in safety and sustainability, including contributing ideas for reducing risk, waste, and environmental impact. Demonstrate environmental awareness by following procedures for responsible use of materials, recycling, and energy conservation
