Advanced Manufacturing (Sheffield) Limited in Catcliffe, Rotherham, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to create methods, develop fixtures, and simulate CNC programs using Vericut. You will interpret drawings, support new processes on the shop floor, and advise on heat treatments, coatings, and metrology.

Ideal candidates have CAD/CAM experience, aerospace/defence exposure, and a manufacturing engineering background.

Qualifications

• Experience with CNC programs and Vericut for simulation.
• Proficient in CAD/CAM software and aerospace/defence knowledge.
• Manufacturing engineering degree or equivalent apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Create manufacturing methods.
• Design and develop work holding methods with technical drawings.
• Simulate CNC programs using Vericut.
• Provide prove-out support to shop floor for new processes.
• Interpret technical drawings and provide production support.
• Advise on special processes,Heat treatments and coatings.
• Apply measurement methods and techniques.
• Support projects and commercial teams with technical input.
• Communicate across functions to ensure smooth handoffs.
• Uphold safety policies and report incidents as required.

Advanced Manufacturing (Sheffield) Limited (AML) is an advanced machining supplier focused on aerofoil and rotative components. We are at the leading edge of machining technologies and are dedicated to delivering efficiency and reduced cycle times for our clients in the aerospace sector. Our advanced milling, turning and 5-axis capacity enables us to machine a wide range of products including bespoke ring, casing, gearbox, aerofoil and aerostructure components. To-Date, we have manufactured components for Rolls-Royce, Boeing, Siemens, Bombardier and are looking to expand out Machining capabilities over the coming year.

The Position

• Create manufacturing methods.
• Design and development of work holding methods including technical drawings.
• Simulation of CNC programs using Vericut.
• Provide prove out support to shop floor for new processes.
• Interpretation of technical drawings.
• Provide technical support and expertise to the production team.
• Understanding and knowledge of special processes, heat treatments and coatings.
• Understanding of measurement methods and techniques.
• Provide technical support to projects and commercial teams.
• Perform any other duties which may be reasonably associated with the job in order to meet the needs of the company.
• Promote effective communication between your functional areas and other areas of the business
