Job summary

Stonegate Farmers Ltd in Lacock is seeking a proactive Production Team Leader for a 05.30am–14.00pm shift, Monday to Friday, with a pay rate of £13.48 per hour. You will lead from the front in a busy packing centre, drive performance, and uphold safety, quality, efficiency and audit compliance.

You’ll oversee day-to-day team activity, collaborate with the wider operations team, coach colleagues, monitor metrics and seek continual improvements to keep production running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience in production or manufacturing.
• Basic understanding of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene.
• Good standard of English and Maths.
• Proactive, practical approach with the confidence to lead in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to demonstrate company values: Respect, Aspire, Courage, One Team and Diversity.

Responsibilities

• Set up production equipment correctly and perform basic fault-finding to minimise stoppages.
• Monitor performance across planning, egg utilisation, quality, labour, waste, downtime, utilities and stock accuracy.
• Investigate non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure production documentation is accurate, complete and audit-ready.
• Review production data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Mentor and develop team members, identifying training needs.
• Deliver clear shift handovers to incoming Team Leaders and Managers.

We’re looking for a proactive and hands-on Production Team Leader to join our Packing Centre team in Lacock.

This is a great opportunity for someone with previous leadership experience within a production or manufacturing environment who enjoys leading from the front. You’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day performance of your team, helping to ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, efficiency and compliance.

You’ll work closely with the wider operational team to keep production running smoothly, support and develop colleagues, monitor performance and identify opportunities to continually improve how we work.

You will:
