Job summary

Stonegate Farmers is seeking a confident Production Supervisor for its Egg Innovation Centre. The role runs 06.00am–18.00pm on a 4 on/4 off cycle, leading the production team to meet daily targets while upholding safety, quality and food safety standards.

You will supervise, coordinate, and troubleshoot on the shop floor, ensuring lines and equipment are prepared, while monitoring performance across egg use, labour, waste and downtime. Strong leadership and hands-on problem solving are essential.

Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience within a production, manufacturing or food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong people-management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Good understanding of production KPIs and how to drive operational performance.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead the production team to achieve daily production plans, KPIs and compliance targets.
  • Coordinate the day-to-day running of the department, ensuring production operates safely, efficiently and to agreed standards.
  • Ensure production lines and equipment are correctly set up and ready for operation.
  • Carry out basic fault finding and respond quickly to issues that could cause production delays or downtime.
  • Proactively resolve production stoppages, including issues relating to product feed, trays, crates and other operational requirements.
  • Monitor performance across key areas including attainment to plan, egg utilisation, labour, waste, downtime, stock control and utility usage.
  • Ensure products are consistently produced to the required quality and food safety specifications.
  • Make sure equipment is operated safely and that Health & Safety procedures are followed throughout the department.
  • Lead, motivate and develop the team, identifying training and development requirements and supporting improvements in individual and team performance.
  • Address performance or conduct issues appropriately, using relevant company procedures where required.
  • Ensure production records and documentation are completed accurately and maintained to an audit-ready standard.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive working environment based on dignity, respect and teamwork, free from bullying, harassment or intimidation.

Production Supervisor - Egg Innovation Centre 06.00am - 18.00pm, 4on4off £15.78 P/H We are looking for a confident and hands-on Production Supervisor to lead and support our production team, ensuring we consistently deliver against production targets while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and food safety. This is a fast-paced operational role where you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the department, keeping production moving, managing performance and ensuring your team has everything they need to succeed.
