Severfield is seeking a Production Team Leader for the night shift at our Ballinamallard site. This is a busy role where you will be managing and leading a team of employees, communicating company goals, safety practices and deadlines to the team, whilst working closely with the Production Managers. You'll be playing a big part in motivating the team and assessing performances. You'll also be involved in the training of new members and existing members of the team and updating the managers with any training needs. Part of your role will be to ensure that all members within your team work safely and efficiently and are deployed in the correct areas to maximise outputs and quality in a cost-effective manner in accordance with laid down targets. As a Team Leader you will be responsible for the safe operation of the part of the works under your control. You'll manage your area of responsibility ensuring all safety measures are being maintained and that safety instructions and safe working practices are being followed. You'll be delivering toolbox talks to employees and contractors as and when necessary, and ensure that all PPE is available, used and maintained by employees and keep a record of issues and maintenance where appropriate. To be successful in this role you'll need the ability to show leadership, take responsibility and be assertive. The ability to plan work and set targets for the team. You'll need to have previous knowledge of the day to day running in a steel fabrication environment, and you'll need to have appropriate trade/operational training and qualifications.
