Job summary

Pertemps Black Country Perms is recruiting for a Production Team Leader based in Dudley, West Midlands. You will oversee a production team on rotating shifts, drive performance, safety, and continuous improvement to meet targets.

The role offers a salary of £30,000 - £35,000 DOE plus bonus, pension, life assurance, healthcare, and development opportunities within a well-established glass manufacturer. This is a permanent position offering a hands-on leadership role with long-term career

Qualifications

• Experience leading production teams in glass manufacturing.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience meeting production targets and KPIs.
• IOSH or similar qualification advantageous

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and develop a production team
• Ensure productivity, quality, and waste targets are achieved
• Promote and maintain high health & safety standards
• Manage team performance, attendance, and training
• Work closely with Maintenance and Management teams to maximise production output
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the department
• Monitor production KPIs and implement corrective actions where required

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and develop a production team
• Ensure productivity, quality, and waste targets are achieved
• Promote and maintain high health & safety standards

What We're Looking For

• Previous Team Leader, Shift Leader, or Production Supervisor experience within glass manufacturing

• Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
• IOSH or similar qualification advantageous
